The specs of this Brother is better than my departed HP but the color on the HP seemed better. The user's guides do not do an adequate job of explaining how to use the scanner; I may have to call Brother customer service for this (as I had to for my departed AIO HP). I couldn't find an option to turn scanned documents into PDF docs that would go straight to my laptop.
